Lily’s Cookies specializes in unique, custom decorated cookies for all occasions and special events. Christine McCrae Kelly founded the company in October 2002, bringing family tradition, a love of cooking, and artistic training to her gourmet cookies.

McCrae Kelly fondly remembers watching her grandmother prepare food for family and friends, and named her shop for the sweet-smelling lily of the valley flowers in her grandmother’s garden. A native Texan, McCrae Kelly earned her MFA in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and worked as an art gallery director in Chicago and New York City before returning to San Antonio.

Lily’s Cookies brings innovative cookies to a wide range of corporate and private clients. Creating these confections is labor-intensive and rewarding: Lily’s begins with the finest natural ingredients to make  delectable shortbread dough. After the cookie is cut out and baked, each is outlined and glazed by hand with homemade icing. Once dry, each cookie is painstakingly decorated into a miniature work of art.

Decorated cookies are available in all sizes and shapes, and if a cookie cutter in Lily’s extensive collection does not suit, an original template can be made. Lily’s cookie artists enjoy collaborating with clients to create unique designs that lend style, imagination, and whimsy to any celebration.

Lily’s Cookies can be used as party favors or gifts. They can be packaged in any number of ways, including clear cellophane bags with bows and personalized gift tags. The minimum order is two dozen cookies, with a suggested lead time of 1 week, and the cost depends on the size, design, and details requested.

Since 2009, Lily’s Cookies has expanded to include a retail bakery in Monte Vista, where clients can drop in to select beautifully decorated seasonal cookies made fresh daily from our case, or to satisfy a craving for perfectly executed homestyle favorites like chocolate chip, cowboy, and Mexican wedding cookies at our popular, well-stocked Cookie Bar.
